StoryFutures, To Play For, and Broadgate are delighted to launch AI-Spy, an innovative immersive experience which invites participants to face Alistair, London’s toughest Artificial Intelligence interviewer.

The two-week pop-up, open Monday-Friday between 9am-6pm from 18 November 2019, fuses state-of-the-art emotion tracking with interactive storytelling to explore what it takes to make the grade as an undercover agent.

This live research project, developed by StoryFutures in partnership with creative technology company To Play For, will explore the creative application of Artificial Intelligence to examine how AI can trigger, read, and respond to human emotions. Participants will be able to see how they fare against previous interviewees in a live leader-board to identify how they perform under pressure.

What will Alistair the AI think of you?

Alistair the AI uses To Play For’s platform Charisma.ai and Royal Holloway, University of London’s research team to test emotional, verbal and psychological responses. Through a series of interview questions Alistair will determine participant’s potential for a career in the fictitious Artificial Intelligence Service: AI6.

For those who wish to delve deeper into the ideas and technology behind AI-Spy, a panel talk on Fear and AI: Will I Be Replaced? will take place on 27th November from media and technology expert Guy Gadney (Charisma.ai) and Sara Bernardini (Professor of AI from Royal Holloway, University of London), discussing the impact artificial intelligence could have on our daily lives.

A co-founder of To Play For, the media technology company behind Charisma.ai and the former Head of Digital for Penguin Books UK, Guy Gadney brings a wealth of experience working at the intersection of media and technology for over 20 years.

As a former research scientist at NASA Ames Research Center, Sara Bernardini has published more than forty peer-reviewed papers on autonomy in premier journals such as "Artificial Intelligence" and “Journal of Artificial Intelligence Research”. Currently, the Professor of Artificial Intelligence at Royal Holloway, University of London, Sara’s interests revolve around designing and building Intelligent and Autonomous Systems for practical applications.

Tickets for the talk are available via: https://www.eventbrite.co.uk/e/80050213343

Featuring both VR and 2D experiences, the installation can be found at The Space | 3FA in Finsbury Avenue Square, Broadgate from 18-29 November.
