Create a next-generation immersive experience for children

StoryFutures and The National Gallery are delighted to announce a new commissioning call for one successful SME in our Creative Cluster to create a next-generation immersive experience for children.

We are looking for applications from companies with experience in any of the following:

• Immersive technology for museums, galleries and cultural spaces

• Gaming in educational contexts

• Creative use of Artificial Intelligence

Creatively, the immersive experience will encourage children aged 7-11 years old to explore the relationship between art and science in paintings across The National Gallery, London’s collection. Culturally, the immersive experience will be designed to appeal to UK audiences, Chinese tourists and a Chinese export market.

On offer is a £170,000 Research & Development (R&D) production award, along with substantial in-kind contributions from both The National Gallery and StoryFutures totalling over £140,000. The project will enable one successful company to create an immersive Minimum Viable Product (MVP).

Head on over to our StoryLab Commissions page to download the brief and get your application started.
